The 39th edition of European Heritage Days is coming!

This year with the theme Sustainable Heritage, the “Journées du Patrimoine” shall take place on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September.

Two days to discover monuments and buildings that are usually closed to the general public in Paris and the Ile-de-France. Numerous activities and guided tours shall be offered free of charge in renowned landmarks, chateaux and museums amongst others.

Here are some ideas just a stone’s throw from our real estate agencies:

    • Saint Sulpice Church. Don’t miss out on this iconic edifice in the immediate vicinity of our District Saint Germain agency in the heart of timeless Saint Germain des Prés.

    • La Bibliothèque historique de la Ville de Paris. Located in a superb private mansion near our District Ile Saint Louis agency, this library is an architectural gem overflowing with history. For the Heritage Days a guided tour will allow visitors to learn more about the building and the remarkable pieces within.

Created in 1984 by the Ministry of Culture with the name “Historical Monuments Open Days”, the event is now organized in over 50 countries, all of which are signatories of the European Cultural Convention.
